Makerspaces are collaborative fabrication spaces that allows users to build, tinker and experiment their own projects. Increasingly they are lauded as sites for bottom-up innovation for companies, universities and even schools. Besides just being a storage space with a mix of hand tools and fancy digital fabrication equipment, it also have a communal purpose to bring people together to work collaboratively.
Established in 2014, OneMaker Group Pte Ltd (OMG) has been advocating and supporting the nascent maker movement in Singapore. As a for-profit organization, our core business revolves around community building, professional development and prototyping commercializable products and solutions. Our experience in building Makerspaces allows us to better support our clients who are intending to create and curate their own spaces.
As operators of makerspaces ourselves, we understand that setting up and maintaining makerspaces can be a rather daunting task for many. It is with this in mind that we offer our experience and services to aid schools or organizations who are looking for assistance in planning, building, operating and maintaining their makerspaces.
